Molagan and Caoran

Description

Molagan are felted soaps, handmade in my studio on North Uist, Scotland. Use them to gently cleanse and exfoliate your skin.  The woolly felted layer makes the bar lasts longer.

Each molag contains a 150g bar of handmade, cold processed soap made specially by the Hebridean Soap Company, enriched with skin-nourishing traditionally harvested Uist seaweed and with a fresh, natural fragrance created using essence of wild mint and essential oils of lime and rosemary.  

The felted pod cover is made from the wool of Scottish Blackface and Cheviot sheep, raised by island crofters. The grey of ‘Storm Petrel’ is created by blending with the wool of Hebridean sheep, a North Atlantic rare breed.  ‘Yarnover’ (or yarn waste) from Hebridean spinners and weavers, provides a  thread of colour, making each molag unique.

Please specify the colour you would like from ‘Sea pink’ soft pink and white, ‘Baleshare Blue’, sea blue and white and ‘Storm Petrel’, grey and white.

Molagan and Caoran are currently out of production.
